George Floyd is finally resting in peace

After being murdered by four police officers, Floyd’s family has finally found closure and justice in his case.

I don’t know if you could tell but, I remember the date when George Floyd was killed and the video of his murder all over the media. It was not just another murder during the quarantine, we all see it, we all could feel it and watch the pain of this man. Even worst, we could hear the last words that came out of Floyd’s mouth during his last breath on this earth.

Floyd was arrested last year on May 25, 2020. He was allegedly found using a counterfeit bill of 20$ in a store in Minneapolis. It was on this date and for those reasons when his life was taken away, losing his breath shortly by a strong compression on his neck causing his death a few minutes later. Dereck Chauvin was 1 of the 4 officers on charge during the arrest and the one sitting on the victim’s neck.

Tuesday morning Floyd’s family members have gained one victory when the ex-officer Dereck Chauvin‘s verdict was GUILTY. After the whole deliberation, the jury has declared the ex former officer guilty of Unintentional second-degree murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree man’s slaughter.

Additionally, prosecutors in Chauvin’s case have introduced a cycle of aggravations that could add more time to his sentence, including committing a crime in front of a child — the youngest witness was 9 years old— and using authority to commit a crime. The sentence will be taking place in about eight weeks and the other 3 officers are going to be charged for aiding and abetting.
