Quarantine Skin Care

During quarantine I sure have had a lot of time to take care of my skin and gather up a few favorites. I feel like these have done me good when it comes to taking my skin to the next level of clear and glowy. I have created a routine I would like to share with you all, and the products are listed in the order of use. All of the products listed are also available for purchase on amazon, which is great for us quarantined gals.

In order to successfully begin a proper and relaxing skin care routine, I have really been into lighting incense. I have two burners, one for sticks and another for cones and not only does it smell great but it also adds a relaxing effect to the room.

It is very unlikely, but if I decided to put on some quick mascara to walk my dog my 3-in-1 Micellar Cleansing Water from Target is my go to in order to remove it. According to the packaging, it compares to the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water, which I have also heard is very effective on removing tough makeup like mascara.

In order to cleanse my skin from any other impurity or makeup, I have been using the Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser from Aveeno. I really enjoy using this cleanser because it does not dry out my skin but I do feel like I am getting rid of a lot of excess oils and impurities.

As for toners I have been using what I would like to consider as classics. My top favorite has been the Thayers, Witch Hazel Rose Petal Facial Toner. Although I have being using the Thayers a lot more often, my Mario Badescu facial sprays have been a necessary pick me up splash in the mornings.

In order to regain a lot of the moisture I just cleansed and toned away, I have been using the Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer from Aveeno. The salicylic acid in this formula really does help moisturize my skin while still treating some breakouts.

As for the occasional breakout, I have been attacking them directly with two power products. My Mario Badescu Drying Lotion and my Nexcare Absorbing Covers, have made breakouts disappear over night!

Coming up next, my infamous face masks. My boyfriend can testify to the fact that, I will undergo any sort of crazy looking face mask in order to obtain maximum radiant skin results. As for the extraction of those tough blackheads, I have being using the Auperwel Blackhead Mask. This mask is the most painful you will ever experience but it is also very effective at its job. In order to purify my pores after longer days, I have been using the Green Clay Mask from Sephora. In itself this mask is very gentle but also very effective in purifying and refreshing up my pores after a long day. Finally, for a more fun looking masks I have been obsessed with are the Celavi Sheet Masks. I bought them in bulk on amazon and I have been flying through these. These masks are the most refreshing and calming out there.

Something new I have recently started to do that has nothing to do with skin care, but I do use while I put on my face masks is my Smile Titan Teeth Whitening Kit. Although I have not been using it for long I do see some difference in the color of my teeth. It’s a fun addition to my routine.

While my masks dry up and do their job and my teeth are lit up by the kit, I have been loving to take constant care of my eyebrows. For a couple of years now, I have been saving some money and doing my eyebrows at home. I watched a couple of tutorials and recently purchased a whole tweezing kit that makes it all so much easier. I purchased mine on Amazon, and it was very inexpensive.

As for my lips, I love to lather up in vaseline. The Vaseline Lip Therapy in Cocoa Butter was recommended to me by my best friend and it has absolutely changed my life. Goodbye chapped lips!

To finish up our cream based products, here is one of my top favorites. I have been dealing with a neck injury for about two years now and the one cream that has helped relieve some of that cervical pain has been the Physicians Preferred CBD Pain Relief Cream. This crap is deep penetrating and calms any sort of discomfort before bed every night. I can say that for this product a little goes a long way, and considering that it is around fifty dollars, I would not just waste this product by lathering it up.

To finalize our skin care madness, I have chosen one of my favorite perfumes. Even if I am locked in the house I still enjoy to spray on some perfume and at least smell like if everything was okay. The perfume I have been loving lately has to be the BEAU Amber Woods Perfume by Madewell. The smell is so calming and comfortable that it puts me at peace.

I hope that you have enjoyed going through my skin care routine as much as I have loved to share it with you. I hope you are able to gather some new favorites to entertain yourself with during the rest of our beloved quarantine season. Stay safe people, and don’t forget to moisturize!
